While our platform is new, The Regular is built on a strong foundation, including the 2022 acquisitions of stakes in DC Bocce and United Karaoke, later acquired stakes in Capital Trivia and Major League Bocce and the event tech startup Meet Near Me, giving us an active user base and a revenue-generating presence in DC, LA, Baltimore, and Chicago.

We are seeking an innovative Product Manager to join our team and ensure that our products are completed on time and in priority order aligned with our broader business objectives and the demands of the market. As Product Manager, Meet Near Me, your duties will include analyzing consumer behavior and industry trends, evaluating consumer feedback on our products, and working with engineering to identify and find solutions for product defects.

To be successful in this role, you should possess the ability to contribute appropriate product-related insights and strategies that enhance our backlog. First-class Product Managers become industry experts who identify potential new product features that provide businesses with a competitive edge.

Product Manager Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the CEO you will collaborate with the product marketing and engineering teams to share our B2B & B2B2C user’s jobs to be done

  • Lead in managing the product backlog and generating ideas for exciting new functionality that aligns with business objectives and user feedback for Meet Near Me, our event and engagement platform

  • Gather product data, including web analytics, statistics, and consumer trends in the event organizing and venue management space

  • Coordinate testing with end users of Venture Studio brands that host on the ground events leveraging our technologies

  • Providing clarity on product vision and requirements to unblock engineering efforts

  • Preparing project status and risk management reports for product and engineering work

  • Training internal departments on new product features with short 2 minute demo videos of new functionality

  • Working with AI and other tools to prepare and maintain simple documentation

  • Developing efficient customer and stakeholder communication and feedback channels.

Associate Product Manager Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business management, marketing, or a related field

  • 2 years of experience in a similar role would be advantageous

  • Experience in gathering and interpreting qualitative and quantitative product data and consumer feedback

  • Ability to conduct high level analses industry trends and competitor behavior.

  • Exceptional ability to identify improved product features and contribute to marketing strategies

  • Ability to report to the Product Manager and collaborate with the product development team

  • Proficiency in compiling project status, risk management, and marketing reports

  • Ability to maintain strong customer/stakeholder relations and provide product support

  • Competency in training internal departments on new product features

  • Excellent communication skills

Time Commitment & Compensation

Time commitment: 4hrs/week to start including twice weekly 15 minute sprint meetings

  • $40K equity, vesting over 2 years from date of signing

  • $500/mth after 5 month probationary period

  • Free admission to any of our social leagues and signature events
